2026 Classes
Here’s what we have confirmed for 2026 - more to come!
Drop spindle for beginners
Taught by Tash Barneveld
The perfect place to start if you want to have a go at spinning your own yarn. We’ll learn about the qualities of different fibres and how they influence spinning technique, and get you started on using a drop spindle.
We’ll have a couple of spinning wheels available for you to try out during the weekend too.
Band Weaving
Taught by Christine Brimer
In this 3 hour class, design and weave a beautiful, reusable band to be used as a bookmark, a set of clothing or towel tags, a tie for a parcel or floral bouquet, or for gathering a home sewn bag.
You will leave with a finished band, your own tool kit, skills and materials to complete a longer band that we start in class after discussing your design ideas.
Using natural dyes
Taught by Rebecca Martin
Rebecca is the indie dyer behind Good Wool, an exclusively naturally-dyed yarn brand. Bex will show you the ropes of using natural dyes on wool. We’re still working out the finer details for this session, but you will have your own yarn to take home from this session (we’ll ship it to you once it’s processed and dried).

Discover creative journalling
Taught by Mira Bradshaw
In this 3 hour class, we're going to explore creative journalling and what it can involve. We’ll talk about different types of journalling, how to build a regular journalling habit that fits your life and is really sustainable, and you’ll learn about different types of creative supplies that you can use to bring a bit more craft to this practice.
Covering how to use stamps for beginners with a chance to explore and try different techniques, options for washi tapes, stickers and other creative supplies, and tips about colour play, we'll do some creative play and make a journalling page together.
Embroidered garment
Taught by Melissa Wastney
Melissa is joining us again to share her amazing embroidery skills. In this class, you’ll be using embroidery to add whimsy to a shirt or garment, adorning a pocket or adding visible mending.
All supplies will be provided, but we do recommend sourcing a cotton or linen woven shirt to work on.
